REVIEWS

In August 2015 our family joined Wilfred and his crew on the Lemosho Route for 8 days. It was an experience that nobody ever will forget. Thanks to the wonderful company, the excellent food (every day something different and always fresh) and the good and good planning all of us reached the summit in good shape. Of course we were lucky that we had good weather conditions, but without the excellent guidance some of us have given up. Asante sana Wilfred and crew!

utaonana means: We will see each other again 😉 For sure we will see Wilfred Moshi  in the near future. In August 2015 we climbed the roof of Africa, the highest mountain Kilimanjaro in a very special way.

A family of six in total, from Delft, The Netherlands had fun organizing there whole eight –day trek along with Kili-treks. We took the longest way so we were sure that we had enough acclimated to reach the top. And we did.

We discovered ourselves when climbing through different landscapes. It was beautiful!

The team of Wilfred, 24 people in total took care about us. They did a fantastic job. We spent a lovely time together, where even was room to dance and sing.

At the end we all got a certificate as evidence that we reached the Uhuru peak.

Extra note: The day before we started our expedition we were invited at the finest restaurant in Moshi. The owners are the mother and Wilfred’s wife.

I really would recommend Wilfred’s company as the best in Moshi, Tanzania.

Chef Manu is the best gourmet mountain chef EVER!! And Johnny’s hot tea first thing in the morning always hit the spot. My favourite foods were the veggie soups, garlic bread, pasta and sauce, chicken, fish stew, rice, mashed potatoes, breakfasts, lunches (salads, toasted sandwiches, French toast, cheeses, etc).

By choice, I typically do not eat fried foods for personal reasons. However, I understand that cooking options are limited on the mountain. That said, Manu’s French fries were yummy.

I was pleased to see that the porters were properly outfitted. Yes, I do feel they were adequately cared for; I was glad to see that they were also well fed. I interacted the most with Damas and Baba Deborah; they were always personable and willing to help us feel comfortable around camp.

I loved the personal service from start to finish. This experience was a case study in customer/client service. From managing expectations to meeting and exceeding them, I cannot imagine that the trip could have gone any better. The staff and crew were exceptional, the food was beyond expectations, and the personal encouragement unbelievable. I really don’t have any complaints. I would just say that you keep up the good work, and strive to make every client feel this way—not just the ones with a personal connection if that was the case—and Kili Treks will be very successful.

Our Kilimanjaro adventure was the most beautiful time I have ever spent with my friends. It was much more than mountain climbing. We all felt safe, well protected and looked after by our guide Wilfred. Wilfred himself and his entire team created a wonderful, unique atmosphere and their support and assistance made even the most difficult moments much easier. In the end even these most challenging moments will remain with us as fascinating memories.

I have reached 7 summits, worked with many teams and I can say with full confidence that if I were to climb Kilimanjaro ever again, I would definitely do it only with Wilfred and his Kili Treks.

Supporting crews were absolutely great. They provided incredible comfort and feeling of safety. They were caring, polite, with great sense of humour and energy Food was perfect – soups, pasta, fruits, all was better than anywhere else we had chance to eat in Tanzania.

All together – both Kili Treks and Safaris trip were phenomenal experience; and this is mostly thanks to your fantastic people. What a unique team of kind, most supportive and knowledgeable people.
